En este artículo se problematizan algunos de los mecanismos de control que atraviesan al oficio del maestro, lo cual permite a su vez indagar por la configuración del maestro contemporáneo en relación con la profesionalización docente y el impacto de las nuevas tecnologías en la escuela. Donde el mercado a través del discurso de las competencias y la eficacia terminan desplazando la enseñanza y limitando el oficio del maestro al de un mero facilitador del aprendizaje.
