Al considerar que la muerte se ha tratado como tema limitado al duelo y a la ritualidad religiosa, el presente artículo invita hablar de su lugar en el ámbito educativo y formativo, destacando algunos autores que instan a desarrollar estrategias que faciliten acercarse a ella desde la perspectiva de su inevitabilidad como acontecimiento natural del ser humano, de tal forma que sea posible entenderla como referente de vida. Todo, con la intención de destacar la necesidad de una educación trasversal para la muerte, inmersa en currículos que propendan por la dignificación del ser, su visión de la muerte y la manera de afrontar la pérdida.
