El escrito parte de una investigación en curso y presenta el balance de las investigaciones realizadas en Colombia sobre cultura política y educación. Los estudios son agrupados desde tres tendencias relacionadas con: 1. La formación histórica de la cultura política y educación. 2. La cultura política desde la ciudadanía participativa y democrática. 3. La cultura política y su relación con la violencia y la paz, que permiten mapear las orientaciones teórico-metodológicas en el tema y las proyecciones para futuras investigaciones.
