Este artículo presenta una reflexión en torno a lo que han representado las emergencias sociales y las llamadas “revueltas sociales”, que se han movilizado en América Latina en los últimos años, y que no solo están referidas en la coyuntura de la emergencia sanitaria; van más allá, involucran diversos actores, expresiones simbólicas, culturales, políticas y estéticas. Las “revueltas”, sus protagonistas y sus expresiones toman un lugar en este texto, para observarse desde un lugar conceptual, social, cultural, político: las revueltas pueden leerse como una crisis de ilusiones y hastío con la modernización ofrecida por el orden neoliberal; como expresiones psicosociales que hicieron emerger imaginarios colectivos de resistencia y de proyecto.
