Los recursos educativos impresos, mecánicos y audiovisuales que habían sido cuestionados y considerados tradicionales ante el paradigma conectivista fueron reestablecidos y fortalecidos durante la pandemia covid-19, así como se han constituido en alternativas de mejora educativa ante las limitaciones en conectividad en las zonas suburbanas, rurales y selváticas. El objetivo del artículo de reflexión es describir las tendencias internacionales en el uso de tecnologías remotas no digitales en el contexto global, así como las experiencias de adaptación en Colombia y Panamá. Resultado de una tesis doctoral en tecnología educativa, la comunicación de enfoque cualitativo y método interpretativo revisa y contrasta las experiencias en el uso de recursos educativos remotos no digitales, en diferentes contextos internacionales. En conclusión, las brechas tecnológicas en las zonas más apartadas y sin conectividad conllevaron durante la coyuntura pandémica al fomento y reapropiación masiva de recursos educativos obsoletos.
