Whakarāpopototanga:This article presents the results of an educational strategy that aims to mediate teaching practice from the use, creation and interpretation of memes to favor the processes of reading, analysis and synthesis of subject content in higher education. For this, visual culture and cyberculture are addressed as new multimedia alternatives to incorporate into the meme. The method used presents a mixed exploratory approach; The results show a positive trend in relation to generating reading habits, participation and understanding of content.
