description                The adjacent challenges for the school in the framework of the COVID-19 pandemic, allowed critical and self-critical reflection on the importance of arts education for the 21st century. The experience presented here, although it has a history of 6 years, was enhanced to respond to the communication obstacles and others derived from the emergency. The foregoing through five artistic learning strategies, the development and empowerment of skills that led to the development of products with objective visual messages, thus allowing more relevance for the subject in the educational community, and mainly, in the daily lives of the students. In addition, the municipal and departmental recognition of students with skills, allowed to take these skills as a life project. Consequently, in 2020 during the confinement by COVID-19, the most important achievement for the project was to implement interdisciplinarity from artistic and cultural education, with an emphasis on graphic design.

Los retos adyacentes para la escuela en el marco de la pandemia por Covid-19, permitieron la reflexión crítica y autocrítica en torno a la importancia de la educación artística de cara al siglo XXI. La experiencia que aquí se presenta, si bien cuenta con una trayectoria de 6 años, fue potenciada para responder a los obstáculos comunicativos y demás derivados de la emergencia. Lo anterior a través de cinco estrategias de aprendizaje artístico, el desarrollo y potenciación de habilidades que propiciaron la elaboración de productos con mensajes visuales objetivos, permitiendo así más relevancia para la asignatura en la comunidad educativa, y principalmente, en la cotidianidad de los estudiantes. Además, el reconocimiento municipal y departamental de alumnos con habilidades, permitió tomar - las artes plásticas como proyecto de vida. En consecuencia, en 2020 durante el confinamiento por la COVID-19, el logro más importante para el proyecto fue implementar la interdisciplinariedad desde la educación artística y cultural, con énfasis en diseño gráfico.
