Summary:This manuscript describes and interprets the methodology developed in a classroom experience with the objective of promoting research with a group of fifth grade students from Provinma School (Bogotá, Colombia), who carried out a project throughout the school year. For this purpose, the methodological aspects of each moment (before, during and after each class session) were recorded in a field diary, and the results mention the reflections raised as the process developed in the classroom. This article is an invitation to other colleagues and institutions to develop spaces to promote research from the school. Therefore, it is encouraged to use and reformulate the resources presented here for the educational exercise.
