Description
Summary:This paper was developed in the Rural Departmental Educational Institution (IEDR) "El Salitre" in the town: La Calera, (Cundinamarca). A didactic strategy was designed with the construction, design, and implementation of a Virtual Learning Space (EVA) on the ecosystem importance of birds aimed at twenty-two ninth grade students, where biodiversity conservation was promoted, managing to develop in the participants reflection and critical sense. For this, the Project Based Learning methodology was carried out, applied in three phases: diagnosis, implementation, and evaluation. The use of the taxonomic classification made it possible to incorporate a relationship with the Basic Competence Standards and the Basic Learning Rights in Natural Sciences. This strategy of Environmental Education in rural areas allowed students to learn about the bird species in their territory, their ecology and role in the ecosystem.
