Description
Summary:The recent School Re-entry modality in Chile aims to provide a formative alternative for young people who, for various reasons, have been excluded from the educational system. Through the narratives and experiences of the graduates themselves, the goal is to contribute to educational policy based on the objectives of this modality. The thematic content analysis of primary and secondary sources emphasizes the concepts of educational commitment, flexibility, personalization, and integration possibilities, drawing from both ministerial policy and the students' own narratives. The aim is to generate proposals with a bottom-up logic that considers the needs and peculiarities of school re-entry students. Among the proposals, the role of the tutor stands out as a facilitator of the connection between graduates and educational institutions, educational alternation as a bridge between the school and work environment, and various measures of connection and support in higher education.
