description This article presents the process and results obtained in Palabras de Paz (Words of Peace) experience: A Participatory Design exercise that promotes peace education in school settings. A pedagogical innovation developed with ninth grade students at Antonio José Uribe IED District School and with the cooperation of Digital and Multimedia Design program of Universidad Colegio Mayor De Cundinamarca. Its initial objective was to develop thinking processes and critical reading from Peace related topics and historical memory through reading clubs where six of the graphic novels created as complementary material to the testimonial volume of the Truth Commission and the creation of a character whose function would be to act as a conflict mediator; all this through the implementation of a toolbox as a key element within Participatory Design processes. As a result, a character and a web prototype were designed where the experience and its products are recorded, at the same time, it transmits learning and conclusions obtained and, in the future, they will serve as input for the mediation of school conflicts.

Este artículo expone el proceso y resultados obtenidos en la experiencia Palabras de paz: un ejercicio de diseño participativo que promueve la educación para la paz en la escuela. Una innovación pedagógica desarrollada con el estudiantado de grado noveno de la comunidad del Colegio Distrital Antonio José Uribe IED, y con la cooperación del programa de Diseño Digital y Multimedia de la Universidad Colegio Mayor de Cundinamarca. Su objetivo inicial fue desarrollar procesos de pensamiento y lectura crítica desde los temas de paz y memoria histórica, a partir de clubes de lectura en los que se abordaron seis de las novelas gráficas creadas como material complementario al volumen testimonial de la Comisión de la Verdad, y adicionalmente la creación de un personaje cuya función sería cumplir las veces de un mediador de conflictos; todo esto mediante la implementación de una caja de herramientas como elemento clave dentro de procesos de diseño participativo. Como resultado se diseñó un personaje y un prototipo web en el cual se registra la experiencia y los productos de esta, que a su vez transmite los aprendizajes y Las conclusiones obtenidas que en el futuro servirán como insumo para la medicación de conflictos escolares.
