Summary:This article is a pedagogical proposal that tries to contribute to the study of environmental difficulties through the knowledge originated in the school by the natural and social sciences. It is an initiative that invites us to think about the environment in its economic, historical, social, cultural and scientific complexity, in which we could reflect on the links between environmental problems and the economic system and on the possibility of ways of life that ensure the conservation of the planet.
