Description
Summary:The teaching and learning processes in the 21st century entail innovative methodological strategies implementation that allows the apprehension of knowledge, the constant assessment of its relevance and the applicability no-fragmented considering the contexts. This article presents the results of doctoral research associated with the Science, Technology, Art, Emotionality and Mathematics proposal based on the STEAM method in terms of evidence of student learning and the information obtained from the implementation of a perception questionnaire in the cooperative learning processes, problem solving and emotional training. The research determined the impact of the STEAM proposal on the interdisciplinary learning of seventh-grade students at the school Marruecos y Molinos I.E.D. in Bogotá, Colombia. The above, based on the description of the class sessions, the learning acquired by the students and the implementation of a perception questionnaire. The quantitative method was used with a quasi-experimental design and the results obtained in the process show the need to modify and make the current educational curricula more flexible, whose fragmentation increasingly distances knowledge from reality. The interdisciplinary proposal of Science, Technology, Emotionality, Art, and Mathematics becomes a theoretical-practical reference that generates greater motivation and interest in students in aspects of the active teaching methodologies incorporated, the current needs of education, and the demands of society
