description The objective of this work is to reflect on the relationships between reflective teaching practice and investigative competences in initial teacher training. To do this, we start from the conceptual, epistemological and methodological characterization of the construct of reflective teaching practice from the vision of several authors, highlighting the elements that must be present in it, to then address the issue of investigative competencies and how these are constituted, into an indispensable tool that enables a reflective professional exercise in teachers, highlighting the importance of why and how to integrate these elements in initial teacher training through Professional Practice.

El presente artículo tiene como objetivo reflexionar sobre las relaciones existentes entre la práctica reflexiva docente y las competencias investigativas en la formación inicial del profesorado. Para ello se parte de la caracterización conceptual, epistemológica y metodológica del constructo práctica reflexiva docente, a partir de la visión de varios autores, destacando los elementos que deben estar presentes en la misma, para luego abordar el tema de las competencias investigativas y cómo estas se constituyen en una herramienta indispensable que posibilite un ejercicio profesional reflexivo en los docentes, destacando la importancia de por qué y cómo integrar estos elementos en la formación inicial docente a través de la práctica profesional.
