Descripció
Sumari:This article explores the way in which a pedagogical strategy based on the short story titled El monstruo de colores can foster emotional expression and favor educational continuity among preschool-aged boys and girls in the transition grade at a private, community-based institution located in Comuna 20, Cali, Colombia. From a qualitative perspective, a case study with ethnographic inspiration was carried out, in which interviews with teachers and participant observation were conducted as information collection techniques, together with a review of institutional documents as a complementary source. The strategy was structured around narrative, play-based, and artistic activities designed by the women teachers involved, in order to support boys and girls during their transition to primary school. The findings underscore the importance of designing context-sensitive and child-centered pedagogical activities based on a broad perspective of school transitions that tends to emotional expression needs from the early ages.
