Description
Summary:The student as an individual, the family, the educational institution and society, are considered as the four main factors that, from the ecological framework model, influence the participation of girls in STEM areas (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) being the family the least researched aspect. The present preliminary exploration aims to analyze the characteristics of the programs that involve families in the participation of girls in STEM according to scientific articles published between 2019 and 2022, in order to have an approach to the existing programs and to know the recommendations that are established for girls to be interested and projected in STEM areas according to family influence. Four databases were explored: Scopus, ScienceDirect, Redalyc and Dialnet and emerging categories were identified in the qualitative analysis, using MAXQDA software; being gender stereotypes in STEM and the strengthening of the scientific identity of girls, the most relevant categories, in which the studies highlight the need to cover in detail in these, since they require recommendations to improve or propose programs where families are directly involved in the participation of girls in STEM.
